Privacy Policy

Introduction

QuickQRConverter ("the App") is a mobile application developed by Everyday App ("we," "us," or "our") designed to help users create, customize, and scan QR codes for a variety of content types including URLs, text, Wi-Fi credentials, contacts, email, phone numbers, and more. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information.

Information We Collect

The App is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

All user data — including QR code history, style preferences, theme settings, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server operated by us.

Device Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions to provide its core functionality:

Camera — Used to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted or stored externally.
Photo Library — Used to scan QR codes from saved images and to allow you to add custom logos to your QR code designs. Photos are processed locally and are not uploaded unless you explicitly use the image sharing feature.
Contacts — Used only when you choose to create a contact QR code by selecting a contact from your address book. Contact data is read on-device solely to populate the QR code fields and is never transmitted to any server.
App Tracking Transparency — Used to request your permission before any advertising-related tracking occurs, in accordance with Apple's guidelines.

Image Sharing via Imgur

When you create a QR code for a photo or file, you may choose to upload an image to Imgur, a third-party image hosting service operated by Imgur, Inc. If you use this feature:

The selected image is transmitted to Imgur's servers via their public API.
Imgur may collect information associated with the upload, including IP address and image metadata.
The uploaded image becomes accessible via a public URL, which is then encoded into your QR code.

This upload only occurs when you explicitly initiate it. No images are uploaded automatically. For more information, please review Imgur's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional premium features through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.

Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads and rewarded video ads. Google AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve relevant ads, including:

Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
IP address
General device information (device model, operating system version)
App usage data related to ad interactions

This information is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience, and no advertising data is collected for these users.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or by denying the App Tracking Transparency prompt when it appears.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services:

Google AdMob — for displaying banner and rewarded advertisements to free-tier users. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Facebook SDK — for advertising attribution and analytics in connection with ad campaigns. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
Imgur API — for optional image hosting when creating photo-based QR codes. See Imgur's Privacy Policy.
Apple StoreKit — for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple Vision Framework — for on-device text recognition (OCR) when scanning business cards. All processing occurs locally on your device.

We do not share any personal data with these services beyond what is automatically provided through standard SDK operation.

Data Storage and Security

All user-generated data (QR code history, style configurations, theme preferences, and app settings) is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate any servers or cloud databases for this App. If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.

You may also clear your QR code history at any time through the App's History or Settings screens.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data on any server, there is no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete. All your data resides on your device and can be cleared at any time through the App's settings or by deleting the App.

For advertising-related data collected by Google AdMob, you may exercise your rights by reviewing Google's Privacy Policy and adjusting your device's advertising settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information.
